Keiichi Suzuki

A guitarist and healing music writer, I was born and raised in Iwate prefecture in the northern part of Honshu Island. I began to play the guitar at 14 years old, doing music activities for a while in my Iwate hometown, but decided to go up to Tokyo in 1998 to find further possibility as a singer-songwriter. I have been since exploring the world of “healing music” through many personal mysterious experiences and encounters. Meanwhile, I have been supporting as a guitarist many bands, doing arrangement, writing songs for other singers, and teaching as a lecturer at a music high school. I studied under a 1960s legendary Japanese singer and performer Mieko Hirota. The wide range of my performing activities include not only those of music but also an Manga appearance as a character in a comic Kira Kira Hikaru 2, the role of a childhood friend of the comic’s protagonist Hikaru’s in March, 2004. I also composed music to be included in a book publication For A New Awakening! by a renowned Japanese calligrapher Kensetsu Ando, who wrote the logo-mark letters for “Kikkoman” soy sauce or “Yamamoto-Yama” seaweed, two of the most famous brands for those two just as most famous Japanese staple foods. The book was released at bookstores nationwide in April, 2005. The CDD composition process included inviting a wild guitarist Takashi Gomi (T – BOLAN). Although temporarily suspending solo activity while doing those things, I resumed playing and organizing music in earnest at 2011.Now, I am very actively creating music with an eye directed toward not only the Japanese music scene but also the world at large.
